Learning outcomes of the course unit

1) Knowledge and understanding: students must be able to identify and
interpret the phenomena being studied. 2) Applying knowledge and
understanding: students must be able to autonomously apply the
knowledge learned during the lessons and exercise autonomy of
judgement in assessing the linguistic and textual phenomena analysed
during the course. 3) Making judgments: students must be able to
evaluate data autonomously. 4) Communication skills: students must be
able to communicate in Spanish and with pragmatic appropriateness the
knowledge acquired during the course. 5) Learning skills: Students must
have achieved the autonomy that allows them to face new texts (written
and oral) on their own and to interpret them with the acquired tools.

Prerequisites

Have a good knowledge of their own language.

Course contents summary

The course aims to provide basic knowledge of the Spanish language. Emphasis will be placed on the use of the language in an oral communicative context. We will focus on discursive markers and phraseological expressions, and will also study paper and digital lexicography from a lexicographic perspective given their importance for translation. The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge to express themselves clearly orally, distinguishing between linguistic levels, and to develop a critical capacity for dictionaries in order to make them autonomous in choosing the works most appropriate to their interests. The acquired notions will be applied in a coherent way to the practical translation activity.

dell'apprendimento
(riguardante morfologia e sintassi), dettato.. Questa prova è propedeutica
all’orale.
spagnola.

Teaching methods

The course will take place through frontal lessons and practical exercises,
with moments of analysis and discussion of different types of documents.
The teacher will introduce the student to the characteristic under study
through the reference bibliography of the course, as well as textual or
audiovisual materials made available through the ELLY platform.

Assessment methods and criteria

The summative assessment of the learning involves two moments:
1) Written test where a knowledge of grammar is required (concerning
morphology and syntax), dictated .. This test is preliminary to oral.
2) Oral exam where the student demonstrates knowledge of the texts,
authors and formal issues related to the linguistic phenomenon under
examination. The questions aim to verify the knowledge of the topics
covered and the ability to apply it through text analysis.
The exam takes place in Italian (with a question in Spanish also in order
to verify an oral competence corresponding to a level higher than A2 /
B1) or is carried out completely in Spanish.
For the oral, the threshold of inadequacy is determined by the lack of
knowledge of the contents, by an inadequate use of the specific
language, by an elaboration devoid of logical and expositive rigor and by
the inability to express oneself in a Spanish higher than the A2 / B1 level .
The sufficient threshold (18-23 / 30) is determined by a partial knowledge
of the contents and a minimum capacity for application and / or reelaboration
of the same and by the demonstration of possessing a
linguistic level with characteristic features of the B1. An evaluation
between 24-27 / 30 and 26-27 / 30 is achieved thanks to a good / good
knowledge of the contents, demonstrating application skills, articulated
exposure and adequate use of specific language. The highest threshold
(from 28/30 to 30/30 and praise) is obtained when it proves to have an
excellent knowledge of contents, autonomous, original and creative
applications.
